Västerås Brass Academy has its own teaching programme for members. It is based on the British ABRSM programme (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music), used for many years around the world.
The programme has eight levels where you develop your playing step by step on trumpet or cornet, French horn or tenor horn, baritone, trombone, tuba or classical percussion. How fast you progress depends entirely on your own motivation and practice.
A reward for every step
When you pass a level you receive an ABRSM diploma, a trophy and a gift card. The gift card grows with each level: SEK 100 for step 1, SEK 200 for step 2 and so on up to SEK 800 for step 8.
How the exam works
Exams are held via video link with examiners affiliated with ABRSM. Your leader prepares you and decides together with you when you are ready. No stress – you play when you feel confident.
